COMPLETE CRUSADER COOKING UNIT

등산을 취미로 가지면서 처음으로 구입했던 장비가 수통이었다. 요즘 흔히 보는 PET병과 별로 다름 없는 제품수준의 플라스틱으로 만들어진 것이었다. 몇년후 큰맘먹고 구입한 마르킬 수통을 샀었다. 이후 5년 넘게 산행때마다 소중한 동반자가 되었다. 한여름 햇볕의 공룡능선, 덕유산 능선을 함께 넘으며 목을 축여 주었으나 언제인지 모르게 스르르 내곁을 떠나고 말았다. 그 이후로 제대로 된 수통을 가져보지 못했다. 날진, 라켄등의 물건이 있었고 딱히 그것들로도 부족함이 없었으나 왠지 정은 가지 않았다.

이 수통을 알게 된건 디스커버리 채널의 Man vs. Wild에서 였다. Bear Grylls가 항상 휴대하는 수통과 수통컵이 궁금해 찾아봤더니 NATO에 속한 나라의 군에서 공식적으로 채용해 사용하고 있는 장비였다. 수통외에 플라스틱과 스테인레스 재질의 두개의 수통컵과 뚜껑, 고체연료를 사용하는 화로까지 하나의 셋트로 되어 있다. 언젠가는 내손에 들어오게 될거 같은 매력적인 장비인거 같다.

1. 수통과 수통컵( Water Bottle and Mug )

수통의 입구부분에 꼭 맞게 끼울 수 있다. 이동과 보관이 쉽도록 케이스에 꼭 맞게 들어간다.

2. 크루세이더컵 뚜껑( Crusader Cup Lid. )

물을 빨리 끓게 해주고 이물질이 들어가는 것을 방지해준다. 뚜껑은 머그컵에도 같이 사용할 수 있으며 걷거나 차속에 있을때 내용물이 넘치는걸 막아준다.
This will reduce the boil time stated above, and will help to keep out dirt and other debris - like dust,dirt and insects.The lid also converts your cup into an insulated mug and will reduce spillage if walking or sitting in a vehicle.

3. 크루세이더 컵( The Crusader Cup Canteen )

고품질의 스테인레스 스틸로 만들어졌고 바닥의 화로와 셋트로 이루어져 있다. 90형식 수통이 꼭 맞게 들어가게 디자인 되었다. 용량 : 750ml

4. 크루세이더 화로( The Crusader Cooking Unit )

미래의 전장환경의 요구에 맞게끔 변화되어온 고체와 젤타입의 알콜연료를 사용하는 화로이다. 안으로 접히는 받침대는 크루세이더 컵이 화로에 정확하게 맞게 올려져 알콜연료를 사용할 수 있게 한다. 바닥 부분에 뚫려 있는 부분은 화로가 바람을 막아주는 동안 통풍구의 역할을 효율적으로 할 수 있게 한다. 8분정도이면 500ml의 물을 끓일 수 있다.
An innovative solid and gel fuel field cooker which has been designed to meet the changing requirements of the future combat soldier. An integral folding arm allows the cup to fit securely over a fuel crucible where Gel fuel or solid hexamine fuel blocks can be lit.
A small slot provides efficient air intake, whilst the walls of the cooker provide shielding against the elements.
The cooker unit will boil 500ml (17floz) of water in 8 minutes!!


5. 수통집( Water/Utility Pouch. )

수통집은 벨트에 장착되어 다양한 방식으로 사용될 수 있다. 버클방식으로 쉽게 열고 닫을 수 있고 내구성이 뛰어난 코듀라 1000 소재로 만들어졌다.
